Expertise: Hydrological, hydraulic, probabilistic modelling of Nature-based solutions for floods, droughts, and heatwave risk reduction

Dr Sisay Debele has a PhD in Statistical Hydrology, two MSc degrees in Hydrology and Quantitative Water Management, and Meteorology Science. His research focuses on the interplay of climate change, non-stationary frequency analysis, application of probability and statistical models to hydrological design problems, multi-risk assessment, sustainable development, and NBS modelling with applications to the fields of water resource engineering, climate change adaptation, disaster risk reduction (such as floods, droughts, and heatwaves).
