“Update on EPA recommendations for urban green infrastructure and air quality”
Biography :
Dr. Baldauf has over 20 years of experience conducting research on emissions, air quality impacts, and adverse health effects from exposures to air pollution emitted by transportation sources. His research focuses on the development of policies and best practices to mitigate air pollution emissions and impacts at local, urban, and global scales, and he has published over 100 journal articles and book chapters on these topics. He has a joint affiliation with the U.S. Environmental Protection Agency’s Office of Research & Development and the Office of Transportation & Air Quality where he leads trans-disciplinary research teams focusing on air quality measurements, air dispersion modeling, and sustainable urban development. He also maintains Adjunct Professor appointments at North Carolina State and Texas A&M Universities in the US.

Biography:
Dr. Max Zhang is the Irving Porter Church Professor of Engineering at Sibley School of Mechanical and Aerospace Engineering, Cornell University, and currently serves as the Kathy Dwyer Marble and Curt Marble Faculty Director at the Cornell Atkinson Center for Sustainability. Dr. Zhang’s research areas reside on the nexus of energy and environmental system engineering, driven by social impact, focusing on air pollution mitigation, renewable energy, and building systems.
