Call for one day network sharing Workshops

We are releasing a new opportunity to participate and benefit from the RECLAIM network – the opportunity to host a workshop on Green-Blue-Grey Infrastructure.

Workshops can be organized around practical Green-Blue-Grey-Infrastructure examples or challenges that the host would like to share with other network members and guests, to hear about alternative solutions, discuss their challenges or share best practices. The GBGI infrastructure can be at any stage of conceptualisation, design, construction or after-life.

The objectives of the RECLAIM Network workshops are to provide opportunities for network members to (1) share experience on GBGI projects they are involved in, (2) benefit from the knowledge and expertise of other network members and share best practice, (3) create local engagement, (4) create a community of practice of professionals involved in GBGI from academia, government and industry.

We aim to fund five further one-day network sharing workshops before the end of June 2024, allocated via this open call for interest with grants of up to £2.5k to cover organisational costs.

The workshop hosting call is open to all RECLAIM members based in the UK (international applications cannot be supported under this scheme). However, international partners are welcome to make proposals for virtual collaborative workshops. Particularly welcome are proposals from industry, city authorities, and non-governmental and arts- and community-based organisations. Hosts must clearly present the GBGI infrastructure they would like to share, and the reasons and objectives of the workshop.

Dates and details of successful workshop applications will be finalised in discussion with the RECLAIM management team (to minimise scheduling conflicts). Workshops will be expected to be open to other interested participants, and the workshops will be advertised across the Network.

All interested applicants must submit proposals to the RECLAIM Network Plus by 23:59 GMT 8th December 2023. Please click here for an online application form. Enquiries may be emailed to info@reclaim-network.org.

Evaluations of proposals will be based on clearly defined objectives, and general contribution towards the objectives of the RECLAIM Network Plus. The questions on the online form are listed at the end of this blog. Applicants will be notified of the outcome in January 2024.

We are looking forward to receiving your application and welcome you to take a leading role in the RECLAIM Network+ family. If not a member yet, please complete the new membership form to receive regular updates on network activities and opportunities.

Best wishes,

Dr Nerea Calvillo & the RECLAIM Network+ Team
