Dr Sarah Clement

Associate Professor in Environmental Policy

"Democratic, justice, and equity in greening cities"

Biography:
Dr Sarah Clement is an Associate Professor at the Fenner School of Environment and Society at the Australian National University. She has worked on environmental management and policy for over 20 years, and has worked in policy, practice, and academia in the US, UK, and Australia. Her research focuses on how to more effectively manage human impacts on the environment, especially with respect to biodiversity loss, climate adaptation, natural hazards, and urban development. Her work on nature-based solutions focuses primarily on how they can be used to address societal challenges in cities.

Catherine (Cathy) Pineo

Head of Regenerative Learning and Design
RSA

Title of Talk:
"Playful Green Planet"

Biography:
Catherine (Cathy) Pineo is the Head of Regenerative Learning and Design at the RSA and leads on the Playful Green Planet initiative. Her passions are sustainable development, learning design, and where they intersect to drive system change. Before joining the RSA, Cathy worked on a variety of green economy projects in South Africa, supporting knowledge sharing, capacity building and coordination between academia, industry and government.

Rachel Grice

Community Manager
RSA

Title of Talk:
"Playful Green Planet"

Biography:
Rachel Grice is the Community Manager for Interventions at the RSA. Her work involves linking up the RSA's policy and programme work with their 31,000 strong global Fellowship to create greater impact. Rachel is the Community Manager for our Playful Green Planet Network, which is a movement of Stewards who are co-creating nature-based play and learning experiences for all children (0-11) in urban areas across the UK.
